I am a high energy grandma of 16 grandchildren, 4 daughters and 4 step children. I hike, walk, x-country ski, garden and love my hot tub in West Seattle. I have a successful 27 year old online business that has helped me earn the dollars I need to create the freedom to travel the world, write and publish, play with and support the people I love and make the world a better, more sustainable place for the great-grandchildren.
I wanted to make my own money and not rely on my husband’s income. Network marketing proved to be the way to do that and leave a corporate sales job I hated. I learned to sell products I believed in and that helped me personally. In fact I would buy them whether or not I sold them, being a health nut and passionate about prevention.
I’ve outlived two husbands and needed to take care of myself financially, emotionally and spiritually. I can support my grandchildren and children when they needed it.
Got the travel bug? Maybe you’re like me and love the planning, the trip itself and the memories that last. Going alone or taking the kids? I like it both ways. If you love the idea of traveling, I am here to share some helpful hints, good stories and cautionary tales gleaned from a life-time of travel. We were on the move from the time our first child was 8 weeks old. And for several years before that. We always found a way to pay for our adventures.
A friend once told me “Your grandchildren will love you until they are about 12 or 13, and then they want nothing to do with you. If it has been good up until then, they’ll be back in their 20s. A good way to cement that glow of grandma/grandchild is go on a trip with them when they are about 12. Make it their trip. See the world through their eyes. If Grandpa is still among the living, they’ll love it even more.
Don’t want to wait to read the posts I am about to create? If you are that excited, go to www.betsystrips.shutterfly.com and browse the books I have created after each of the trips so far. I have three more grandchildren eager to travel when their turn comes.
If you want to know more about how to earn the dollars you need through the networking business that powers these trips monitarily, get in touch. I’d be glad to share the opportunity. Betsy@hihohealth.com
